JI terrorist leader escape = Black magic?
2008-02-28Is there black magic involved in the JI terrorist's escape?
The JI terrorist has been on the run for some 24 hours now and our beloved poolicemen have yet to catch him. Interesting since e fellar at large is actually limping. So much for SPF's recent advertisement showing a policeman running to catch a thief. Apparently our policemen not tt quick huh? Or are they insinuating that our current batch of policemen arent fast at running afterall (hence e delay in catching a LIMPING terrorist) so they are looking for new runners now?
For those who don't know who he is, check out this fellar's mugshot at the bottom of the entry.
Remember the name, e new household name: Mas Selamat Kastari
That aside, I am kinda scared right now. I'm flying back to Manila tomorrow (last day of work!!!) to return my apartment and collect my stuff. Apparently the fellar at large wanted to bomb Changi Airport. I pray pray pray that he does not decide to do anything funny when i'm at the airport tomorrow.
So anyways, I was discussing with my colleagues earlier on about this fellar. Super interesting. Now, e police have said e fellar is LIMPING and yet they still cannot find him. I honestly wonder if the fellar actually faked his limp so that when he does escape, it'll be like some kinda decoy ie pple will be paying attention to look out for a limping fellar instead of a well bodied one. And perhaps he faked his limp to give police e impression that he cant run off cuz of his disability and so in someway to make e police let their guard down?
Hmm..possible? Very.
Next, not to offend any race/religion but again, I honestly think either e fellar who was guiding e terrorist when he went to the toilet was a Muslim fellar OR(Update: It's apparently a Gurkha policeman, sorry!) perhaps the terrorist fellar used black magic to run off. My colleague was telling me about a certain Wahab brothers who vanished right before the polices' eyes many donkey years ago while they were on the run. Perhaps its possible..
Now in this terrorist case, I personally feel it's either an inside job or the terrorist used Black magic or as what lotsa pple claim, it was an error on a police's side. What i can't understand tho is how possible it can be for e terrorist to run off without anyone seeing him. If it was not black magic, then dun tell me the Whitley Detention's area security is sooo lax?
I cant help but feel it's obvious this terrorist has been planning it for so long. He must have waited for 2yrs (he was in since 2006) to figure out the loopholes in the security system and when his family visited him yesterday, he took the opportunity to run off. Heck, you'll never know that perhaps he had planned it all along to get his family to visit him yesterday so tt he can run off during that period. Besides, Singapore has been pretty quiet for a looong time. You'll never know if he's been planning to attack Singapore all this while and only decided to run away now to launch his attack.
Be afraid people, VERY afraid. For we do not know what's going on in this fellar's mind. The last I read, he wanted to bomb MOE. WTF? Ministry of Education? At Buona Vista? Of all places? What for? I mean i can understand American Club/Embassy, Yishun MRT station, Police HQ etc but MOE? What? He's not happy that most of our scholarships go to non-Muslims? Can't be right?
But that's the point. For him to wanna bomb something as not so relevant like MOE shows that he can bomb just about anywhere in Singapore if he wants to. So pple working in high rise building/govt offices/iconic buildings etc, BE VERY CAREFUL!!!
Actually no, those taking MRT i think you guys should be more careful. Esp those who alight/pass thru 'red' areas like Raffles Place, City Hall, Toa Payoh, Tampines, Outram etc. Think underground and stations which have lots of people, connected to big malls, hospitals etc.
I also read that the police are staking out at Goldhill Centre, Malcolm Park and e area around it cuz of the jungle behind. Apparently they think hes run of to that area. Hmm.. i wonder why tho.
If i'm the terrorist, i'd just continue hiding out in the jungle area along PIE. Why bother to cross the road (since i'm apparently limping) and everyone can see me esp since there's a police station next to Malcolm Park. Somemore, arent's detainees made to wear the prison uniform? Hmmm.. oh well, unless you're in the mind of a terrorist, guess we'll never figure out what he's thinking. For those who are STILL super blur about what's going on, check out the news article below.
Take care people!

SINGAPORE : A massive police operation is underway in Singapore after the leader of the Jemaah Islamiyah network here, Mas Selamat Kastari, escaped from detention at 4.05pm on Wednesday.
A statement from the Home Affairs Ministry says Mas Selamat walks with a limp and is presently at large.
He is not known to be armed and is one of Singapore's most wanted men.
Extensive police resources have been deployed to track him down after he escaped from the Whitley Road Detention Centre.
Anyone with information about him can contact the police at 999.
Mas Selamat was arrested by the Indonesian police on Bintan island in January 2006.
He was picked up then for using a fake identity card.
Based on investigations then, Indonesia's elite anti-terror police discovered he was the leader of the Singapore Jemaah Islamiyah network, a terrorist organisation.
They then deported the man to Singapore in 2006.
The 45-year-old father of four was also said to be involved in JI's plans to mount attacks against foreign and local establishments here.
These included the US Embassy and American Club, the Defence Ministry headquarters at Bukit Gombak and the Education Ministry building at North Buona Vista Drive.
Mas Selamat fled Singapore in December 2001 following an Internal Security Department operation against the terrorist organisation.
The militant leader had been on the run after Singapore authorities discovered plans to crash seven truck filled with bombs at various locations around the island.
Investigations also revealed that he was the mastermind behind a plan to hijack an airplane and crash it into Changi airport.
When he was last arrested in Indonesia, officers found literature on bomb making on the man.
Mas Selamat's deportation to Singapore two years ago was seen as a significant development in the close network of cooperation amongst intelligence officers in the region to share information on terror suspects and to defeat the terror threat.
The islandwide manhunt has fanned out to areas in Beauty World in Upper Bukit Timah and Goldhill Avenue near Barker Road.
Officers are also knocking on homes asking residents if they have seen the escapee.
Police have also formed a formidable blockade around Malcolm Park, near the Singapore Chinese Girls' School. - CNA/ch
